Next steps
Season one is over and like all good series you cant wait for the next. Now is a difficult time. Maybe you will get lucky and go straight into another job. Maybe not. But don't despair. Jobs come around all the time. Use the time to build up savings. Work a standard job (shops, bar etc) and use your time to build valuable skills. Want to work in Africa? Learn French. South America? Learn Spanish or Portuguese. Do short online courses and most of all relax. You will be back in the field soon so stock up on junk food and binge on internet. It will be gone soon.
At the end of each season you gain more skills and it makes it easier to land the next job. Unlike other sectors you can not have too much experience in field work. Employers know jobs are seasonal most of the time and the more you do the more skills you gain.
You may be lucky and find a long tern paid position. However it may not be for you. I have landed that job and am once again itching to get back into the field.
